Ben Gillihan is married to Elizabeth and they have three children (Titus, Rachel, and Julia). He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Washington, his Master’s in Business Administration from Seattle University, and is also a Certified Public Accountant. He is employed at American Power Systems, LLC in Kent.

He was blessed to be born to parents who were Christians, and he grew up in a church family that loved the Lord, the Bible, and one another. He states, “I was saved and baptized as a youth and grew in my faith while in school. My spiritual growth accelerated in my early 20s when I had the opportunity to meet weekly with men who discipled me, challenged me, and taught me more about how to be a follower of Jesus. Elizabeth and I have attended Christ’s Church since 2004 and have been blessed as we have served and been served by the church body here.”

His ministry passion has been affected by the positive impact that small group and one-on-one discipleship have had in his own life and in others’ lives. He is also passionate about engaging in these opportunities as well as encouraging and enabling others to participate in these types of relationships.

His favorite books are The Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis; Money, Possessions, and Eternity by Randy Alcorn; and The Goal by Eliyahu M. Goldratt. His favorite Pacific Northwest getaway is Wenatchee or Lake Chelan.
