Struggles. Answers.
Comfort. Hope.

STRUGGLES
Life can be difficult and complicated. Our relationships, marriages, families, health, finances, jobs, and endless challenges can seem overwhelming at times. Perhaps you or someone you care about has reached a point where the struggles of life are taking a toll. You could be suffering due to circumstances beyond your control. Or your difficulties could be the result of your own unwise choices. While the Bible calls our wrong choices sin, the Bible also compassionately understands the pain and suffering of being sinned against.

ANSWERS
God’s Word has rich and relevant answers and solutions to our sin and suffering. The One who created us knows us best. He knows exactly what we need. God wrote a book to guide us through the challenges we face in life. The Bible provides the wisdom and tools we need to overcome even our most difficult problems. Through Jesus Christ, God solved the problem of sin. While we were sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). This is where our hope starts. And we are not alone. God gave us the community of the church so that we can minister to one another, and He gave us the ultimate Counselor, the Holy Spirit, who enables and empowers us to change so that we are progressively conformed to the image of Christ.

“His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.” 2 Peter 1

COMFORT
The Bible explains that the source of suffering is sin. We suffer when others sin against us, we suffer when we make sinful choices, and we suffer from living in a broken world with broken bodies. Things are not the way they are supposed to be! The good news is that God is the God of ALL comfort, who desires to comfort us in all our troubles.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,  who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

HOPE
Hope is essential for change because no one ever changes without hope. The good news is that God is the God of hope. The hope of the Bible is not a wish; it is a confident expectation. God is unchanging and faithful, and His promises never fail. Romans 15:4 says that “through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we may have hope.” God’s answers and solutions to our problems are found in His sufficient Word, the Bible. By allowing another believer to come alongside you and help you understand and apply biblical truth to your situation and circumstances, you will begin to see God’s wisdom for your problems. You will experience peace and hope. You will become more and more like Jesus Christ. You will bring glory to God, and you will enjoy a growing relationship with Him.

“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13
