Born in Spokane, WA, David was raised in a Christian home and attended church with his parents. He felt, though, that his life was burdened by legalism and that he had to earn his way to heaven and avoid hell by his own works. In youth group, he heard and understood the gospel. Later that week, he asked a friend to pray with him. He asked Jesus to forgive him, change him, and give him a new life. His focus changed from just trying to get into heaven to having a relationship with the God of the universe who died to save him. 

David is involved in a variety of ministries at CCFW: A/V, youth group worship, student leadership team, and outreach events. He has a passion to serve wherever he is needed. 

Favorite books are Lord of the Rings, The Bible, and Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life. His favorite PNW getaway is OrangeGate Park, which is five minutes from home.
