Emily Schlepp
Administrative Assistant

Emily is a native of Federal Way and has been attending Christ’s Church with her family since 2000. After being saved when she was around five years old, she struggled with perfectionism, legalism, and doubting her faith all throughout middle school and into high school. When she was fifteen, the Lord showed her that she was not "working out" her faith as much as working for it. God changed her heart after she encountered 2 Corinthians 12:9—"But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me." Emily rededicated her life to following Christ and He has continued to show her His amazing mercy and redemptive plan for her life.

Emily earned her Bachelor’s degree in English Literature with a minor in Theatre Arts from Northwest University in Kirkland.

Emily loves to serve the Lord by leading others—whether that's a small group of youth, or a production team like the annual "Lights Out" performance team. She has a passion for serving in Children's Ministry, Youth Ministry, special outreach events/camps, missions trips (ask her about Albania, South Korea, or South Africa!), and she loves to jump in and serve wherever she can.

A few of Emily’s favorite books are Les Misérables by Victor Hugo and Piranesi by Susanna Clarke. Her favorite books of the Bible are Ecclesiastes or Philippians. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, reading, working on her novel, studying Korean, writing poems, going to the gym, singing musical theatre songs, and spending time with her friends & family.

Her favorite Pacific Northwest getaway is Snoqualmie Falls Park.
