Jason Dibble
Elder

Meet Jason:

  • Born: November 7, 1976.

  • Family: Married wife, Theresa, on July 8, 2000. Our children are  Andrew (2003), Sharon (2004), Amanda (2006), Luke (2007), and Sophie (2010).

Education: BS in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University, Phoenix, AZ.

Employment: I worked for Microsoft for 15 years and have been working for World Vision in Federal Way since 2016.

Testimony and Church Life: As a child, my mother brought me to church every Sunday and I learned a lot of stories from the Bible but did not have a personal relationship with Jesus until I was in college. While there I found that living a life without God was destructive, and I submitted my life to Christ and received His free gift of salvation. After moving back to the Northwest, I joined Des Moines Gospel Chapel where my faith matured thru solid Bible teaching and discipleship. I also grew through serving in many ministries over the years, from directing the Middle School youth program, teaching adult Sunday School, leading small groups, and being a Deacon and an Elder. In parallel, Theresa and I served many years at Lakeside Bible Camp in the Training in Christian Living program. We moved to Christ’s Church in 2019 to meet some needs for our family and have enjoyed becoming a part of this church.

Interests: Making memories with our family through having fun local experiences or traveling out of town. I enjoy playing sports such as basketball and ultimate frisbee. I like watching sports, but admit I’m a fair-weather fan. I try to grow different types of fruit in our yard and have over 40 types in various stages.

Ministry Passions: I like to teach the Bible in a way that is understandable, applicable, and enjoyable. I enjoy working with young people as they are making very important decisions in that stage of life. I am passionate about helping people learn to manage their finances in a way that honors God. I have a heart for fostering and adopting children; my sister was adopted and three of our children were adopted.

Pet Peeve: Same as what I wrote in my high school yearbook, being tired or sick. I like to stay busy and do not like to take it easy.

Favorites:

  • Book(s): Believer’s Bible Commentary (MacDonald), The Knowledge of the Holy (Tozer), Sacred Marriage (Thomas), Shepherding a Child’s Heart (Tripp), The Total Money Makeover (Ramsey)

  • Sports Team(s): Northwest sports teams (Seahawks, Sounders, Mariners, Kraken, Huskies, and Sonics—they will come back)

  • Food(s): BBQ

  • Northwest Get-away: We do not have a favorite. Although we have lived almost our entire lives in the Northwest, Theresa and I still find new places to explore.

  • Local Restaurant: Brank’s BBQ

  • Music: Contemporary worship, classic hymns, and Christian rap

  • Movie(s): Marvel, Star Wars, and sports movies that are true stories

Christ’s Church exists to glorify God by making more and better disciples of Jesus Christ through intentional relationships.
