Pastor Jeff was born in Oklahoma but spent much of his childhood as a pastor’s kid in Kirkland. : "Growing up in a pastor's home, life revolved around the church. I was involved in everything the church had going…choir, outreach, children’s ministry, youth group, camps, retreats, Bible quizzing, you name it. It wasn't until around 8th grade that my faith was tested and found wanting. Through the ministry of a special small group of young guys who met regularly with our youth pastor, God awakened my heart to a genuine faith in Christ that unseated my former self-righteous, rule-keeping life. From that point on, the Lord grew my heart and faith in Him and called me into the ministry my senior year of high school. Knowing Christ and serving Him in full-time ministry has been an amazing adventure of grace and truth."

He is married to Kim and they have four children: Megan (married to AJ King), JJ, Bobby (married to Greer), and Annie. They have also been recently blessed with two grandchildren, Wilson and Grayson. 

Pastor Jeff earned a B.A. in Preaching and Biblical Studies from Pacific Christian College (now Hope International University) in Fullerton, California. He began ministering at Christ’s Church in September of 1996.  He has a passion to see the Lord Jesus Christ exalted, God’s timeless truth proclaimed, people’s hearts transformed by the gospel, and the church making disciples around the world.

In his spare time, Jeff loves hanging out with his family, reading theology, eating popcorn (or most anything else except beets), and watching sports (fan of Seahawks, Washington Huskies, Florida Gators, Oklahoma Sooners, Montana Grizzlies, Boston Celtics).

Some of his favorite places to travel are the beaches of Florida and California, Spokane Hoopfest, and wherever else his family might want to go.
