Kim Moorehead
Women’s Ministry Director

Meet Kim:

  • Position at church: Women's Ministry Director

  • Spouse: Jeff Moorehead. Jeff and I met while on staff together at Evergreen Christian Fellowship.

  • Children & Spouses of Children: Megan (Moorehead) King (Married to AJ King)
JJ Moorehead; Bobby Moorehead (Married to Greer); Annie Moorehead

  • Grandchildren: The four most beautiful grandchildren... Grayson and Hallie, and Wilson and Della.

  • Education: Graduated from Central Washington University in 1984.

Testimony: I did not grow up in a Christian home but always remember believing in God and desiring to go to church and to know more about who God was. A young man I dated before entering my senior year in college shared the gospel with me for the first time. I began attending Overlake Christian Church right after college graduation where God chose me and I understood that I was a sinner and I needed a Savior....and that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died for our sins and rose again, and that there is now no condemnation for those who believe. I have died to my old life and now live my new life in Christ until one day I will have eternal life. Although I had always believed in God, I now have and know that the sweetest joy of the Gospel is to know God Himself.

Year Started Attending CCFW: 1996

Ministry Involvement: I had served my early Christian life as the Director of Children's Ministry at Evergreen Christian Fellowship involved loving and teaching children and encouraging and overseeing a large ministry of volunteers. My passion was children, but shortly after coming to CCFW, God had other plans for my ministry here as I have served in various roles in Women's Ministry for my many years here.

Ministry Passions: Because no one shared the Gospel with me until I was almost 21, I have a passion that we be in the world, but not of the world...that believers in Jesus remember the lost of those outside our doors who do not know God and that we have a Christlike love for them and are always ready to give an account of the hope that we have. I love to help women see that the Word of God has hope and help for all of life and that our lives should give glory to God. Although we will be growing in Christlikeness for the rest of our lives, I love that the body of Christ in the local church is a place for women to help and encourage one another to know and love God and one another more fervently day by day. I am passionate about the unity of the body of Christ because God's Word tells us that the world will know us by the love that we have for one another.

Favorites:

  • Books: Trusting God by Jerry Bridges, Instruments in the Redeemer's Hand: People in Need of Change Helping People in Need of Change by Paul David Tripp. Hearing Jesus Speak Into Your Sorrow By Nancy Guthrie. The Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert and The Gospel Comes With a Housekey by Rosaria Butterfield.

  • Hobbies/Interests: My hobbies are Sunday Evening Family Dinners, loving and playing with my grandchildren, and having spiritual conversations with my family and friends. My other favorite interest is cooking and creating new recipes.

  • Childhood Memory: I have special memories cooking together with my Dad.

  • PNW getaway: Although our family vacations together every summer in many fun locations across the country, our favorite getaway is always to my best friend's home in Spokane. Although it is a small home, she has housed our loud, large and ever-growing family of kids and grandkids for over twenty five years with the most precious love of Christ.

Christ’s Church exists to glorify God by making more and better disciples of Jesus Christ through intentional relationships.
