Meet Steve:

  • Place of Birth: Seattle, WA

  • Year you began at CCFW: 1988

  • Family Info: Wendy and I were married in 1982. We have two children: Andrew (1986), Katie (1989).

  • Education: Graduated from the most beautiful high school in the country, Stadium—Class of 1980

Personal Testimony: In June of 1985, Wendy and I were invited to a small church in Tacoma. There we heard the gospel clearly presented, both accepted Christ and, by His grace, our lives were forever changed—our past, our present, and our future!

Ministry Passion: Meaningful, one-on-one, salvation/discipleship conversations

Hobbies, Leisure Time activities: Walking, golf, traveling

Kodak Moment: Traveling overseas to meet and hold my granddaughter, our first grandchild

What makes you sad, glad, mad?:

  • Sad: Death outside of Christ

  • Glad: Family time, when we can all be together

  • Mad: False teaching

  • BOOK(s): Tough to choose, but here are a few that have been meaningful in my walk with the Lord: Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life (Donald S Whitney), Spiritual Leadership (J Oswald Sanders), Don’t Waste Your Life (John Piper).

  • Book of the Bible: OT: Psalms, NT: Philippians

  • Childhood Memory: Fall Saturdays in the U-District: walking across a leaf-covered UW campus as a small boy, holding my Mom’s hand, making our way down to the “greatest setting in college football” - Husky Stadium.

  • Food/Snack/Beverage: Cheeseburgers. Drive-in to gourmet, I’m an equal opportunity burger eater.
