God's "all things" Truth

It doesn’t take long after reading a few pages of the Bible to learn how BIG our God really is.

Rather than writing about it, I’m going to let God speak for Himself about His “all things” truth.

  1. How did everything come to be?You created all things” (Rev. 4:11); “For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him.” (Col. 1:16); “For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.” (Heb. 3:4); “God, who gives life to all things” (1 Tim. 6:13); “The God who made the world and all things in it” (Acts 17:24); “He Himself gives to all people life and breath and all things.” (Acts 17:25); “All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being” (John 1:3).

  2. What keeps everything from falling apart? “In Him all things hold together.” (Col. 1:16-17); “And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power” (Heb. 1:3).

  3. How will everything ultimately end?Behold, I am making all things new” (Rev. 21:5).

  4. How much does God really know and see?God…knows all things” (1 John 3:20); “And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do” (Heb. 4:13).

  5. How do we know everything is perfectly under control? We have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will” (Eph. 1:11).

  6. Is there a central purpose in life?So that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen” (1 Peter 4:11).

  7. What is the core reason for my struggles in life? For as many as are of the works of the Law are under a curse; for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who does not abide by all things written in the book of the law, to perform them’" (Gal. 3:10).

  8. Why should I live a ready expectant life? The end of all things is near” (1 Pet. 4:7).

  9. How should I plan to live life before others? In all things show yourself to be an example of good deeds, with purity in doctrine, dignified” (Titus 2:7); “Let all things be done for edification.” (1 Cor. 14:26); ”Love…bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things” (1 Cor. 13:7).

  10. Why is living a godly life so important? For bodily discipline is only of little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come” (1 Tim. 4:8).

  11. Why is it such a blessing to focus our hope on God?Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy.” (1 Tim. 6:17); “Jesus said, ‘With people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God’" (Mark 10:27).

  12. What is the Lord Jesus Christ able to do in anyone’s life? And through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven.” (Col. 1:20); ”Therefore, He had to be made like His brethren in all things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.” (Heb. 2:17); “For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin” (Heb 4:15).

  13. Why is it so important to follow Jesus Christ? And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church.” (Eph. 1:22); “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?” (Rom. 8:32).

  14. What can I expect when I abide in the Lord? His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him” (1 John 2:27).

  15. What if I don’t like all the negative people, things, or circumstances in life?Do all things without grumbling or disputing.” (Phil. 2:14); “Always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father.” (Eph. 5:20); “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose” (Rom. 8:28).

  16. How is everything summed up in the end? “For He has put all things in subjection under His feet. But when He says, 'All things are put in subjection,' it is evident that He is excepted who put all things in subjection to Him. When all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the One who subjected all things to Him, so that God may be all in all.” (1 Cor. 15:27–28); “For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen” (Rom. 11:36).

WOW, what an “all things” God we get to serve! This isn’t even all of it, so remember that “His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence” (2 Peter 1:3).
