Year-End Giving 2024

Contributions must meet these deadlines to be counted as 2024 donations:

  1. Checks can be put in the offering through Sunday Dec. 29 or postmarked and mailed by Dec. 31. (The church office is closed from Christmas through Jan. 1).

  2. If you use Bill Pay through your bank, please process those gifts well before the end of the month, as they take longer to arrive at the church.

  3. ACH: Transactions must be initiated on or before 12/31.

  4. Credit/Debit Cards: Transactions must be processed and approved before midnight PST on 12/31. Even though the money isn’t deposited until after the first of the year, if it is processed before midnight PST 12/31, the transaction counts as a 2024 transaction.

Any gifts processed after these dates will be credited to the 2025 tax year.

Qualified Charitable Distributions from an IRA: This option requires some advance planning, so individuals should contact their financial adviser. For those over 70 ½, a direct transfer from an IRA can help meet required minimum distribution amounts. Donations must come directly from the IRA, not the donor.

In January, we will be sending out the 2024 Giving Statements via email. Please ensure your contact information is up to date by reaching out to the church office if needed. Thank you for your continued generosity and support of our mission.

In-Person Giving by Cash or Check

  • Sunday Services: Contribute during the weekend services by cash or check. If you are making a cash offering and would like to receive a year-end giving receipt for tax purposes, please be sure to include your information on the giving envelope available in the pews.

  • Mid-Week: Drop a Check in the Mail or Stop by the Office at 941 S. Dash Point Rd., Federal Way, WA 98003

  • Check with your employer: Many large companies (Boeing, Microsoft, or Costco, for instance) offer a contribution fund, often with Gift Matching. Check with your employer about this possibility and designate funds toward Christ’s Church (we are a registered 501c3 organization).

Online Giving

Church Center Giving: Download the Church Center App to your Device

Then set yourself up as a new user the first time you give. In the future, you can set up recurring payments. You will also be offered the option of helping pay the Credit/Debit/ACH fees the church incurs with every gift.

Online Banking with Bill Pay: Most banks offer online banking with bill pay. If yours does, you can set up a bill pay account to pay Christ’s Church. Your account number here at Christ’s Church is your name.

Why should I give & what does the Lord expect from me?

As followers of Jesus Christ, we recognize that He is the Owner and Provider of all that we have, so we are called to be managers of His gifts to us. Throughout Scripture, we are commanded to give back a portion of what God has so generously provided to us. Giving is an act of worship and is to be done with a spirit of thanksgiving.

God Expects the Following from His followers:

Christ’s Church exists to glorify God by making more and better disciples of Jesus Christ through intentional relationships.
