NEW Website & Check-Ins Process

The Communications Team has been working on updates to our website and communication card process. While the website has been up and running for a couple of months, we wanted to let you know what has changed.

Website Changes:

  • Livestream: In the old site, the livestream was in the main menu but is now just below the header next to plan a visit. It is still able to be accessed with the same URL, ccfw.org/live. We did this to make room in the menu to showcase the many ministries available at Christ's Church.

  • The Loop: It is in the exact location of the old site but now features events and opportunities to serve.

  • Events: Our calendar was titled "events" on the old site, which wasn't clear. It's now called "Calendar" on the new site but uses the same URL: ccfw.org/calendar.

  • Messages: These are in the same place as the old site but in a new format. We moved our sermons to a sermon archive format to make them more searchable. You can search by Scripture reference, date, speaker, or series. We hope you enjoy the benefits of that. This URL has been changed to ccfw.org/messages to make it match and be more intuitive.

  • Church Life: On the old site, this had Life Groups, Ministries, Missions, and Tell Someone Gospel Conversations Blog. We moved Life Group & Ministries into the tab "ministries" on the new site. We moved "missions" to our About tab. The "Tell Someone" blog series is incorporated into our new blog!

  • Blog: this is the same as the old site. Only it's more searchable. Again, you can search by topic, author, blog, etc.

  • About: Located in the same spot as our old site, About talks about our mission/core values, foundational faith statements, team members, outreach, missionaries, and more.

  • Give: We have recently switched from Vanco Giving to Planning Center Giving. If you still need to switch, clear instructions are here.

NEW Check-In System: Communication Card Changes

We ask you to fill out your communication card weekly to let us know you are here. Our Communication Card is just one way our Pastors and Elders shepherd the church. They want to know you are here and pray for you.

We now have a check-in system that is easy to use and allows you to check in your whole household simultaneously! No more typing everyone's name out; just a simple click click click and done! On your church center app, at the bottom of the screen, you will see a shortcut that says "Check-In." Follow this link, choose the service time, and submit! You can even pre-check in you and the kiddos on your way to church for their classes—scan the generated QR code on arrival to print their name tags. If you are watching online, you can use the dropdown to change your location from "Worship Center" to "Online." That being said, we know nothing more trustworthy than pen and paper. You can still find paper communication cards in the seatback in front of you. Now I know your next question will be, "But Gwen, what if I have a prayer request? How do I submit that now?" Don't worry! What used to be our full communication card is now a simple "Prayer Request" card in the same place it always was. Head over to the "Home" page on your Church Center App, and you'll see the button.

If, when checking in your family, you notice some details are incorrect, please note: You cannot add or remove household members, names, birthdates, or grades of children. If you need to have information updated, please email Gwen Foyle!

We get it; change is hard. But we are here to help. Reach out to techhelp@ccfw.org if you need help finding an old trusty link.
