Meet Jason
Jason was born on November 7, 1976. He married his wonderful wife, Theresa, on July 8, 2000, and together they have five amazing kids: Andrew, Sharon, Amanda, Luke, and Sophie. Whether they’re enjoying local adventures or traveling out of town, Jason loves creating lasting memories with his family.
Growing up, Jason attended church regularly thanks to his mom, but it wasn’t until college that he truly connected with his faith. Realizing the impact of a life without God, he made the choice to submit to Christ and embrace His love. After moving back to the Northwest, he found a spiritual home at Des Moines Gospel Chapel where his faith blossomed through solid teaching and service.
Over the years, he’s been involved in various ministries, from directing the middle school youth program to teaching adult Sunday school. He also has a heart for fostering and adopting children, inspired by his sister’s adoption journey and the three kids they've welcomed into their family.
When he’s not busy with family or church, you can find Jason playing basketball or ultimate frisbee. He’s also an aspiring backyard farmer, growing over 40 types of fruit! His enthusiasm for local experiences means there’s always something fun on the horizon for the family.
One of Jason's greatest joys is teaching the Bible in a way that’s relatable and enjoyable. He believes in helping young people navigate life’s big decisions and strives to guide others in managing their finances honorably. His favorite books reflect these passions, with titles like The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey and Shepherding a Child’s Heart by Tedd Tripp.
Jason’s journey is a beautiful blend of faith, family, and service. He’s not just living life; he’s actively making a difference in the lives of those around him. So next time you’re at church, keep an eye out for Jason and his family, unless they’re off on another adventure, creating memories one fun experience at a time!
