Kim Moorehead
Women’s Ministry Director
Kim is married to Jeff Moorehead, whom she met while working at Evergreen Christian Fellowship. Together, they have four children—Megan (married to AJ King), JJ, Bobby (married to Greer), and Annie—and are the proud grandparents of beautiful grandchildren. Kim graduated from Central Washington University in 1984.
Although she did not grow up in a Christian home, Kim always believed in God and longed to know more about Him. Before her senior year of college, a young man she dated shared the gospel with her for the first time, and after college graduation, she began attending Overlake Christian Church. It was there that she understood her need for a Savior and embraced the transformative truth of the Gospel. Since then, Kim has lived her new life in Christ with the joy of knowing God personally and looks forward to eternal life with Him.
Kim began attending CCFW in 1996 and has faithfully served in ministry since. She started her Christian journey as the Director of Children's Ministry at Evergreen Christian Fellowship, where she loved teaching children and leading a large team of volunteers. After joining CCFW, her ministry focus shifted to women, and she has served in various roles in Women's Ministry over the years. Her passion is rooted in her own journey—because no one shared the Gospel with her until she was almost 21, she is deeply committed to reaching those outside the church and demonstrating Christlike love. She delights in helping women see the hope and guidance found in God’s Word and encouraging them to grow in their relationship with Him and one another. Kim also emphasizes the importance of unity in the body of Christ, believing that the love believers show for one another is a powerful testimony to the world.
In her free time, Kim enjoys Sunday evening family dinners, cooking, creating new recipes, playing with her grandchildren, and having meaningful spiritual conversations with family and friends. Her favorite childhood memories include cooking with her dad. Although her family loves to travel, Kim treasures their visits to her best friend’s home in Spokane, where their growing family has been lovingly hosted for over 25 years. Kim’s favorite books include Trusting God by Jerry Bridges and The Gospel Comes with a Housekey by Rosaria Butterfield, which reflect her deep love for God and her desire to help others experience His grace.
