Luke Dalrymple
Ministry Assistant / Facilities
Luke was born in Auburn, WA, in 2003 and began attending Christ’s Church in 2003. Luke was taught the truth of creation, the fall, and salvation through the ministries of Christ’s Church. He knew the gospel from childhood, but it was when he was between 14 and 15 he submitted his life to Jesus Christ. Through a time of depression, finding validation through earthly things rather than Jesus Christ, he discovered finding his worth in Jesus was where he would find strength, joy, and purpose. He believes in the sacrificial death of Jesus to be declared free from sin. Luke says, “Jesus is my God, and I know I am saved now because I believe in Him. Since submitting my life over to the Lord, I no longer live for myself, I live for something greater, to serve the Lord in everything I do, which gives me ultimate purpose. To live is Christ, to die is gain, and the Lord had mercy on me, and showed me that there was a greater way than I was living, which was through Him alone.”
Luke’s passion is discipling/mentoring others to find what he found in a relationship with Jesus. He desires to impact other people’s lives and intentionally to mold them and form them to be more like Christ. In his leisure time, you will find Luke being active through ultimate frisbee, tennis, music, fantasy football, baseball, and much more. Basically he loves anything and everything except for yard work. Luke’s passion for sports took him to the Dominican Republic to play baseball. He had a vivid picture of how blessed the USA is compared to this country. He also was able to share the gospel with many of his teammates.
If you want to socialize with Luke, he loves tacos and the little taco truck by Chevron on Dash Point Road are his favorite. For snacks he enjoys Flamin’ Hot Cheetos and White Zero Sugar Monsters or Coke Zero to wash them down with. Grab a snack and watch his favorite movie with him, Cars 2. Or, go to the Dumas Bay Sanctuary and turn on Casting Crowns or Kings Kaleidoscope. Or, cheer for any Seattle sports team who is playing at the time. Luke enjoys spending time with family and friends. If you see Luke working around the church in his position of Ministry Assistant/Facilities be sure and take a minute to say hello.
