I was born into a believing family that attended Spanish-speaking churches so there was always a language barrier for me. I knew all the Sunday school answers but never cared to fully translate the lessons and teachings to understand them better. In 2013, on a day they did communion, where we recognize Jesus Christ for paying the ultimate price for all our sin debt. He died on the cross to pay for our sins but came back to life 3 days later with a new resurrection life for us. They had all the students join their parents and I noticed my mom was deep in prayer and was super emotional, so for the first time I put my all into translating what the pastor had said. From there I learned to true beauty of surrendering my life to Christ and giving it to Him there. Though I still sin, I have found grace and forgiveness everyday and I see a change in my life through the way I love to serve the church as a student leader and being part of the A/V team.
