We just celebrated our annual Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends, and it’s a perfect time to remember how grateful we are for the gospel in our lives. Meditating on the blessings of the good news can keep you highly motivated in your gospel-proclaiming ministry.
Paul, the ultimate evangelist, modeled a thanks-driven life about the blessings of the gospel that is being proclaimed (Rom. 1:8; Phil. 1:3-4; Col. 1:3-6; 2 Thess. 2:13).
So let’s ask: Why are we eternally thankful for the gospel in our lives which can be an eternal blessing in others? Here are a few amazing reasons why we are thankful for the gospel and how it can motivate us to share this blessing with others.
GOSPEL BLESSINGS:
Jesus Christ (2 Cor. 9:15)
The gift of eternal life (Rom. 6:23)

Salvation - deliverance from God’s wrath (Rom. 5:9-10)
Redemption - set free from sin’s slavery (Eph. 1:7)
Forgiveness of sins (Col. 1:14)
Indwelling of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38)
Justified - acquitted of our sins (Rom. 3:24)
Righteousness - being right with God (2 Cor. 5:21)
Joy (Rom. 15:13; 1 Thess. 1:6)
Purpose - living for the glory of God (Col. 1:16; 1 Cor. 10:31)
Our sins were propitiated - satisfied God’s wrath (1 John 2:2)
Riches in Christ (Rom. 11:12; Eph. 1:18)
Inheritance (Col. 1:12)
Adopted into God’s family (Gal. 4:4-6)
Heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ (Rom. 8:17)
Transferred into the kingdom of His beloved Son (Col. 1:13)
