Roelof Elzinga
Deacon

Roelof was born in Gravenhage, Netherlands. He met his wife Anna while they both attended Bible School in Capernwray, England. Anna is from a missionary family that worked in the villages of Alaska. Their marriage in 1981 brought Roelof to live in the United States. God blessed them with five children (sadly, the oldest passed away in 2003).He is grateful that the hope we have in Christ will never be taken away.

Roelof and family began attending Christ’s Church in 1996. With his ministry passions of giving and helping, Roelof has been involved in security, leading a life group, as well as being a deacon. He is thankful for how all the ministries of Christ’s Church have supported his family. Roelof worked at Microsoft for many years. He loves computers and carpentry. He fondly remembers building with his dad at their childhood home. Currently you may find him doing jobs big and small at his home and for others

As a child, Roelof and his dad turned an old truck into an RV. They used it to travel through Europe. Getaways in his youth also included skiing in Switzerland. As an adult, he enjoys taking hikes with his kids, visiting his grandkids, and visiting family in the Netherlands. If he’s not building, serving, traveling, or enjoying his family, You may find Roelof reading historical nonfiction or a book by Dr. Sproul.

Christ’s Church exists to glorify God by making more and better disciples of Jesus Christ through intentional relationships.
