Family Worship - God’s Covenant with Abraham (Genesis 12:1-3; 15; 17:1-9)
Read & Discuss
Abraham believed God’s promise but still wondered how God would make it happen. God gave Abraham another reminder. God had Abraham sacrifice animals and lay the two halves on opposite sides of a path. Two parties who agree with each other would walk through the middle of the animals to say, “This promise we make must not be broken.” God demonstrates grace by moving through the path all by Himself. God’s promise depended not on Abraham but on what God would do. Jesus, God’s Son, took the punishment for sin we deserved to bring us a relationship with God, which we do not deserve. This is AMAZING grace!
