Family Worship - The Great Flood (Genesis 6-9)
Read & Discuss
When God asked Noah to build an ark, it had to be a pretty odd request. First, it wasn't even raining, and second, where would Noah find every kind of animal to bring onto the ark? God told Noah that He would destroy all the living things on the earth. God would rescue Noah's family and the animals on the ark and then repopulate the earth. Like the ark saving Noah's family from the flood, God has shown us His overwhelming love by sending Jesus to save us from sin. We must trust in Jesus as God's salvation from the power of sin and death. "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." – Romans 8:1
Give Thanks
“God, You promised Noah safety in the ark, and You promise us eternal salvation in Jesus. Thank you that You always keep Your promises.” Read 2 Corinthians 1:20.
Memory Verse
Memorize Psalm 104:24 by Sunday, September 29. “How countless are your works, Lord! In wisdom you have made them all; the earth is full of your creatures.” by Sunday, September 29. Our new memory verse will be introduced Sunday, October 6.
Prayer
Ask God to help you trust and obey Him today. How did Noah’s faith in God help him to obey? How does God’s faithfulness help you to trust and obey? Jesus is the greatest example of God’s faithfulness. Give God praise for Jesus!
