Missions Ministry Opportunity

Last weekend, we were blessed to hear from 8 of our 9 International Missionaries about all that the Lord is doing in the part of the world they serve with the gospel and the church. We were challenged on Sunday by Randy Fairman (president of SIM USA) who preached through Acts 1:1–11 and highlighted three features of  the personal Presence of Jesus Christ being among the people and with His disciples, the power of the Holy Spirit who lives within us and empowers us to live out the gospel, and then the priorities of the call of Christ to be His witnesses in our Jerusalem (the city we live in like Federal Way), Judea (our county) and to Samaria (our multi-ethnic, multi-cultural environments) and to the remotest parts of the world.

We gave everyone a Missions Ministry Opportunity Card to consider how they might participate with us in the call to be on mission with the gospel.

Please take a moment to consider the opportunities on the card and indicate any interest you might have or area of service you may want more information about. Our collective mission is to glorify God by making more and better disciples of Jesus Christ through intentional relationships. You and I as Christ’s disciples are plan A and there is no plan B.

You can pick up another card this Sunday, fill it out, and hand it to one of our ushers or those at the information kiosk in the lobby. Or fill out the card online.

It’s not how you start, but how you finish that counts. Many people start well, but not everyone finishes well. You have to keep your eyes on Jesus until the end.
