Promises We Can Trust

Article: God’s Promises

Prayer: Lord, my heart sinks when I think of promises I’ve broken. Thank you for working in my life to help me become a man of my word, to let my “yes” be “yes”. Still, I must guard against saying one thing and doing another and of misleading those around me with commitments I cannot fulfill. Help me. At times I am tempted to be a people pleaser. But Lord, I want to please You above all. I confess my weakness, I acknowledge my sin, and I thank you, once again, for your forgiveness. God, my hope is in you. You are faithful. You alone can be fully trusted. You have been and always will be true to your promises. With Job I am reminded, that “You can do all things, And that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted.” Thank you for the joy you bring when I trust and obey! In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
