The key to the answers is below. How did you do? Did the quiz motivate you to want to know more about missions around the world and those we support at Christ’s Church? I hope you plan to come and support our missionaries this Friday (Feb 28), Sunday morning (to hear one of our missionaries, Randy Fairman), and Sunday night (to hear 8 of our 9 missionaries about their “notes from the field”). Get all the details here and register to come Friday and Sunday night.

Answer Key:
Approximately 42% of the world’s population is still considered unreached—meaning they have little or no opportunity to hear the Gospel or meet a Christian throughout their lives. This translates to over 3 billion people, most of whom live in the 10/40 Window, spanning North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
Despite 150 years of Protestant missionary efforts, only about 0.5% of the population in Japan identifies as Evangelical Christian. Christianity as a whole (including Catholics and other denominations) makes up around 1–2% of Japan’s population. The country remains one of the most unreached and spiritually resistant nations in the world.
A new evangelical church opens in the Middle East approximately once every two years. Due to intense persecution, legal restrictions, and cultural resistance, church planting in this region is extremely slow compared to other parts of the world. Many believers must gather in underground churches or in secret for safety.
The region of the world that contains the most unreached people groups is called the 10/40 Window. This area spans from 10 to 40 degrees north latitude, covering North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. It is home to over 3 billion unreached people, including the majority of the world’s Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists.
A people group is considered "unreached" if less than 2% of the population is Evangelical Christian. Additionally, they are often classified as unreached if less than 5% identify as Christian (including all Christian traditions). This means that the local church is generally too small or weak to effectively evangelize their own people without outside help.
For every $100,000 that Christians make, they give about $1 to the unreached. This highlights the vast disparity in global missions giving, with only a tiny fraction of Christian finances going toward efforts to reach the 3 billion+ unreached people in the world.
The "10/40 Window" is a term used in missions to describe the region between 10 and 40 degrees north latitude, covering parts of North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. It is home to billions of unreached people, including the majority of the world's Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists. The other statements—about Americans spending more on Halloween costumes for their pets than on missions in this region and the presence of 3 billion unreached people—are unfortunately true.
Mark 16:15
"The Gospel is only good news if it gets there in time." — Carl F. H. Henry
There are 9 groups of the 202 in the Philippines representing 4.5% of those people groups. These 9 groups total 5,259,000 of the 118,539,000 people. A Frontier Unreached People group has virtually no followers of Jesus and no known movements to Jesus, still needing pioneer cross-cultural workers. They have 0.1% or fewer Christian adherents and no confirmed, sustained movement.
There are 17,281 people groups in the world and 7,246 are unreached (3.39 billion people). Unreached people groups make up 41.8% of world population
Sudan. All the other nations or areas listed are served by the 9 missionaries or mission organizations Christ’s Church supports.
