Staying Centered
It is so easy to get sidetracked and forget what really matters in life. Our time and lives are full of activities, responsibilities, schedules, and the plethora of endless information that can distract and overwhelm us from staying centered on what keeps us centered. The gospel of Jesus Christ keeps us centered. It is the good news about the Person and work of Jesus Christ on our behalf and how it transforms every aspect of our life.
What a Question!
Are you willing to do for the truth what the cults do for a lie? Ever heard this question? Ever stopped to contemplate its implications for your life? If we truly have the only gospel truth that can rescue us from eternal danger (and we do) and Satan is committed to spreading his damning lies through false religion (and he does), then what does that mean about our witness? Are we willing to allow Satan’s evangelists to out-share us?
Vital Questions to Ask
Recently, I had someone ask me how they could communicate the gospel truth to a few people who had misunderstandings about Christianity yet showed an interest in knowing more.
I suggested sending them the following questions that are designed to prompt a search for ultimate answers about the truth of the gospel. Maybe you know someone who is showing interest and needs to do some more digging and consider the answers to these questions.
A Gospel Ministry Tool Box
As disciples of Christ, we are called to be “fishers of men” (Matthew 4:19), not keepers of aquariums. We are to “always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence” (1 Peter 3:15), and like Paul, to ask the Lord to help us “make it clear in the way I ought to speak” (Colossians 4:4).As we think about our diverse and growing community, here are some practical tools to help us all be better prepared for gospel conversations with:
