The Voice of Faith
"By faith Abel offered to God a more acceptable sacrifice than Cain, through which he was commended as righteous, God commending him by accepting his gifts. And through his faith, though he died, he still speaks" (Hebrews 11:4). The verb “speaks” is a present tense, active voice form. It suggests that Abel’s influence and the lessons we can learn from him have been relevant down through the centuries—even to our own day.

Remember The Greatness of Your Salvation
Mel Fisher had a great 64th birthday. A treasure hunter, Fisher owned Treasure Salvoras, Inc., and had been looking for the Spanish galleon (Neustra Senora de Atocha) for 17 years. The ship, loaded with precious cargo, sank in 1622 during a hurricane. It was on its maiden voyage from Havana to Spain. On a July day just before his 64th birthday, Fisher discovered the ship and its treasure about 40 miles west of Key West, Florida. Imagine his joy that day as his divers brought up from the deep an estimated 150 pounds of gold, including 76 gold bars, gold chains, and gold disks! In addition to this find, more than 900 silver bars and 100 gold bars have been recovered. It is estimated that the ship’s fortune may contain a treasure worth more than $340 million. Wow! Can you even imagine?!

Soooo.....why are you worried?
by Mac Hoover, ElderSooo… Why are you worried?
In Philippians 4:6, Paul says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” And then in Philippians 4:19, he gives the delivering promise of future grace: “And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

We Can Always Depend on God
Looking at the mountains gives us a visual of God's creative power. We need to look to Jesus to have our perspective refreshed. Mac encourages us with a psalm to keep our focus on Christ during challenging times.

Be Still & Know
Mac reads from Psalms to remind us of where we get our help in the storm. Watch his short video. Enjoy a Chris Tomlin song. Pray for stillness. What a refreshing way to start a new day.

Together with Christ
Together with Christ, we are not alone; we are unified. Christ's love is so deep. His power is so great. Mac reminds us that we are not alone when we belong to Christ. We are united with all believers through the Spirit with Christ.
