Nothing But Jesus!
I was reminded this week of a great truth from the following quote: “Nothing but Jesus can satisfy the soul.” This is attributed to George Whitefield (1714–1770, English Anglican preacher and evangelist who was used by God to inspire the First Great Awakening and Methodism with John Wesley which greatly influenced Britain and the 13 American Colonies between the 1730s and 1770s).

Indescribable
What comes to mind when you hear the word “indescribable”? An amazing family event? A stunning sight of beauty? A spectacular moment of joy? A one-of-a-kind experience?
Synonyms for “indescribable” are words like incommunicable, indefinable, ineffable, inexpressible, unspeakable, and unutterable.
It seems that very few things should be able to fit the description of this adjective. As we enter into the Christmas season, we are reminded of the one thing that defies description and that is Jesus Christ.
Who is the King of Glory?
In the Old Testament, oftentimes the glory of God was concealed and feared. God’s glory was hidden in clouds, fire, the tabernacle, the temple, and in shrouded theophanies. It was feared as the “devouring fire,” the judgment against sin, and no man could look upon His holiness without dying.
